Thank you for your interest in my practice. I am a
dedicated and serious practitioner. I am grounded and focused. I hold an Advanced Massage Therapy Diploma with many hours of additional training and experience. I am licensed with the state
of MA and am Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. I began training in body work in 1985 with the founder
of Nippon Shiatsu Daigaku, Toshiko Phipps. Toshiko instilled in each student the importance of body, mind and spirit
and I honor her teaching and you with the same approach. Within each session that offer I give 100 % percent of my focus
and ability.
I am certified in specialty deep tissue
techniques- Advanced Myofascial Mobilization and Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy (trigger point). These techniques go beyond
the surface and help to alleviate nagging knots, stiffness and tension as well as help to increase range of motion and promote
a feeling of wellness. I have additional specialized training and experience with cancer, and geriatric population. Besides
the 100 hours of study specializing in oncology and geriatric massage approach, I have trained and recieved certification
from Tracy Walton; Oncology MassageTherapy: Caring for Clients with Cancer. I am certified in Manual Lymph Drainage/Complete
Decongestive Therapy (MLD/CDT Vodder)*. Presently I am working on Scar Tissue Release Certification to help remediate
certain issues that arise from tissue adhesion/resctrictions from previous injury or surgery.
Therapeutic massage can offer long
lasting solutions to help you with your discomfort, reduce stiffness, pain, help alleviate stress and enhance health.
Over
all the goal is to help you relax, breathe and feel better.
*As a massage therapist I am limited to manual lymph
drainage techniques and not wrapping/compression-CDT. For your health and safety it is recommended that Complete Decongestive
Therapy be had within Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy setting with certified MLD/CDT. Please call your PCP if you
should experience sudden swelling or pain.
